The Great Glasgow
Explorer Quest

A Glasgow scavenger hunt with a cheeky local guide

The Mystery of the Hidden City pairs Snifflock the Dog Detective with Tam the Glasgow Cat: streetwise, quick-witted and rarely short of an opinion. Together, they invite your family to investigate Glasgow through an illustrated puzzle adventure.

If you are looking for things to do with kids in Glasgow, this book gives the whole team a part to play. Follow the missions, study your surroundings and put your ideas together. A small detail could make a big difference to your answer.

Meet Snifflock and Tam

Snifflock likes a careful investigation. Tam adds local attitude and a cheeky sense of humour. Their contrasting personalities give the Glasgow story its own voice, with your family doing the real detective work along the way.

Take turns reading the clues, spotting details and explaining your theory. The fun comes from the conversation as much as the answer, whether your group knows Glasgow well or is discovering it for the first time.

Solve the clues. Keep the final mystery secret.

Use the book’s A, B or C challenges to choose an answer, then scan the matching QR code for a short video. Collect the rewards as instructed and save them for the final puzzle. We keep the solutions off this page so every explorer can enjoy the reveal.
