The Great Edinburgh
Explorer Quest
Join Snifflock and Bobby for a puzzle adventure through Scotland’s capital. Look closer, follow the clues and bring the story to life with the QR videos in your book.
Real places. Illustrated stories. Curious minds.
An Edinburgh scavenger hunt for curious families
Don’t just visit Edinburgh. Investigate it. Join Snifflock the Dog Detective and Bobby the Scottish Terrier for a book-led adventure that combines observation, puzzles and local stories. Your team supplies the sharp eyes and bright ideas.
Looking for things to do with kids in Edinburgh? Give your walk a purpose beyond getting from one landmark to the next. Read the mission, look closely at your surroundings and discuss what the clue could mean before making your choice.
A detective story with a Scottish companion
Snifflock brings the questions; Bobby brings his Scottish personality. Their illustrated world adds humour to the adventure, while the real city gives your team something to investigate. There is room for children to lead the search and adults to join the discussion.
Edinburgh’s closes, cobbles and layered streets make looking carefully part of the fun. Follow the route in your book, pause at each mission and let the details around you shape your answer.
From a clue on the page to a video surprise
At the A, B or C challenges, choose your answer and scan its QR code to see how you got on. Follow the book’s instructions for collecting rewards, and keep your discoveries ready for the finale. The mystery stays with the explorers: you will not find the solutions on this page.
Bring your book, a pencil and a charged phone with internet access. Allow time for breaks and check your edition’s route information before setting off. See how the QR adventures work or read the family planning FAQs.
